a leisurely summer evening at home

I have been dreaming about capturing sweet Yvie since the day I met her at the Farmer's Market three summers ago, when she was just a wee babe. I knew her parents, Travis and Nicole, through the neighborhood (and their fabulous watering hole Leisure Public House), and I'm certain I dropped some pretty big loud hints about wanting to photo them. But as with many good things, they take some patience, and so you'll understand how delighted I was when I heard from Nicole over the summer, that they were ready to book their family session. We met up at their home shortly after Miss Yvie celebrated her third birthday, on a perfectly gorgeous summer evening; we read stories, played with their kitten, Dolly, romped around their lovely yard, drank fancy cocktails (bonus to having bar-owners as clients!), picked flowers, played with Dolly some more, Yvie and I became besties (she is a serious little love bug), and we all just soaked up the end of summer. I could not have dreamed up a better session if I had tried. xo, PQ
